How to put your bra

ON CORRECTLY

Believe it or not, there is a correct way to put on your bra. Once you've put your bra on make sure you bend over, using the opposite hand to scoop your breast so that it is fully cupped in your hand. From here, reposition your breast so it is entirely in the bra cup, with the nipple in the centre.

THE UNDERBAND

The underbrand should lie flat to your chest and should feel firm but comfortable. One of the best ways to test the underband is by running a couple of fingers around the band to make sure there's some give.

THE WIRES

Like the underband the wire should fit flat to your chest both in the centre and all around. If you notice the wire sitting on your boobs, you probably need a larger cup. Also, check out our different styles to find a shape of wired cup that suits you best.

THE CUPS

Your breasts should be fully encased in the cups. If your boob is being cut down the middle of the breast or you notice bulging or a shape that is not smooth, then your bra is too small. Even if you're going for that push up effect it doesn't need to cut in. Also, if you have gaping at the top of the bra you need to go down a size in the cup. Finally, if you have space in the bottom and excess fabric this could be one of two things. Either you've pulled yourself in incorrectly into your bra or you need to go down a cup size.

THE STRAPS

Most of your support should come from the underband and the cups. Make sure your straps aren't digging in, if they are, you're making them work too hard. Also make sure that you adjust the straps, this depends on what time of the month it is and how old the bra is.
